I'm not really new here, I've been around for a short time as some of you probably know. Figured I'd introduce myself. First off I'm a Ford guy, but I'm not into pissing matches so I can respect anything. Like for example, I think a clean Chevy C-10 is one of the most beautiful vehicles I've ever seen. In case you didn't know already, I'm into trucks. It's what I know, it's what I love. I'll take a Raptor over a Porsche any day of the week. I've been collecting some hot wheels lately (thanks to y'all) so I'll probably have some posts on that. I'm also into CB's, though I'm far from an expert. My Ranger is my baby. She's not the strongest, biggest, or fastest. But I love the thing.

Meet Blue. It's a 2001 XLT 4x4, with a 3.0l V6 and an Auto (GASP!). She's got just over 120k miles and still going strong. I have big plans for her, including a 3" Superlift, Flared fenders up front, New Cragar wheels, and so on.

I already feel pretty welcome here. I'm far from an expert on anything. I'm working at a local service station, and I'm enrolled in the local tech school, training to become a diesel technician. I'm always willing to learn. And there's been times I've taught a few people before.

Me too, albeit I'm more of a Tomcat kinda guy. Well jokes aside, what do you mean by CBs? Bikes or radios?

My ultimate goal is to turn my truck into a 4WD Prerun. A Dixon Bros. kit is my goal. And I respect everything because life's too short not to. I can find anything cool. Is there things I don't care for? Of course. But I don't like to hate on something that doesn't really appeal to me.

The black is similar to Rhino. It's called Raptor liner. A lot cheaper than Line-x or Rhino, and really easy to use. Not the thickest layer, but there's no way you're gonna scratch it.

Greatest thing about where I live. I live/work on an Air Force base and the F-22's are amazing! I was driving around the flight line when a couple were taking off and they did a rapid climb (low and straight then BOOM! almost completely vertical) and blew a bunch of heat into my Aveo. I didn't care. I was giggling like my daughter watching PBS!

Sweet! There's an airbase several kilometres north of where I live, not too long ago I witnessed a pair of F-16s in an exercice. Nothing as extraordinary as seeing a Raptor launching, but for a person who generally only sees airliners it was amazing.

I probably should have been seeing as I had all the windows down and all that exhaust probably killed a few braincells but honestly, I was just happy and I wanted to get out and watch them for a while. To bad I had to get back to work.

I'll be honest, the F-22's are cool and all, but the A-10's are incredible! They have some crazy maneuvers they can pull off. I got to take a ride in an Osprey once and that was fun. I was told that during the hardest maneuvers, we pulled 4.5G's!

VTOL aircraft are awesome, precisely due to all the lunatic manouvres they can do. That, and because they can make for some awesome photography while doing those manouvres.

One of the other guys that got the flight was taking pictures with his Nokia Lumia. Little bit of turbulence and that phone went right out of the back hatch! I was expecting a huge crater, but apparently the Lumia isn't as strong as it's ancestors.

What's sad is I'm sure he would have. It was right when we had the Thunderbirds here and they were practicing as well as our F-22 Demo Team. I had just recently arrived to this base so I didn't know the shop management too well yet.

Only 120k huh? She's been babied I see :P Mine rolled over 190k on monday. 2002 XLT 4x4, 4.0l V6 Auto.
My family might be Ford fans (this was taken last winter)

Mine's the one in the back, the '05 in front of it is my brothers, the '03 Explorer is my moms, and the 02' F-250 next to it is a secondary work truck. My dad's '12 F250 is absent. I should try and get a more recent picture. BackRack and a tool box, waiting on brackets and better weather to mount up my brushbar on the front

Yea. From what I heard, he went out looking for it because (somehow) he had a locator app but he couldn't find it. I don't so much believe that because I don't see how a phone dropped from a couple of thousand feet could survive that fall.

Yes but in that 120k, she's had a transmission replaced and then that replacement rebuilt, new doors all around, new bed and gate, probably a fender or two, 4000 foglights, ABS disabled (read broken) but not missed, A/C removed and not missed too badly, a handful of tie rod ends, she's been on her side in the ditch, hit countless deer, and various other things. It hasn't been an easy 120 that's for sure.

Its a Cobra 29 XLR. Its my Dad's old radio that he got back in the 80's. I took it into the CB shop once and they told me I should take care of it because "its much nicer than the china crap these days."

Nice. I really like the Cobras. I have a Cobra 29 LTD Nitewatch, although the nitewatch display is burnt out. Only the channel display and SWR meter lights up. It was a radio that my dad had around for a while. It's about 10 years old, and he wasn't the first owner. I was using a Wilson SW-2000 trucker antenna, but I only had it on a mag mount. I struck some branches at 40 mph, and it fell into my bed. Now I use a Workman 49? inch whip.

Yeah my radio isn't so operational right now. Cable to the antenna came loose under my truck and the last time I high centered offroading I crushed it. Need to order me a new one. My antenna is a 4 foot firestik mounted on my rear bumper.
